On August 18, 2020, the new travel inspection area at Hengqin Port officially opened. This key passage facilitates personnel exchange and trade between Zhuhai and Macao, driving innovative development in the Zhuhai-Macao cooperation zone and invigorating the "One Country, Two Systems" practice.

Hengqin Port, connecting Zhuhai and Macao, uses a "joint inspection, one-time release" model, removing the buffer zone between the ports. With a "side-by-side" design, inspections are conducted seamlessly and synchronously. The simplified process requires only one inspection, with the fastest clearance time under one minute, greatly enhancing efficiency and optimizing the passenger experience, facilitating transportation, travel, and trade between the two regions.

Our radioactive material imaging and positioning system is now installed in the outbound halls of Hengqin Port on both the Zhuhai and Macao sides. The system locks onto suspicious targets carrying nuclear materials or radiation sources within a 10-meter range using multi-point linkage for real-time dynamic tracking. This ensures comprehensive monitoring and precise real-time positioning of nuclear radiation for high-traffic clearance, effectively supporting seamless border crossing and resource flow between Zhuhai and Macao.
