The "Gold Bridge Award" is the highest national award for the technology market, approved by the National Science and Technology Award Office. It supplements the National Science and Technology Progress Award and is presented biennially to recognize outstanding contributions to technology achievement transformation and scientific progress. The collective award honors units that have demonstrated innovation and significant achievements in organizing and promoting the transformation of scientific and technological results.
Our project, "High-Resolution Coded Aperture Imaging for Radioactive Material Detection and Localization and Its Industrial Application," won the "First Prize Award."
This project integrates high-sensitivity gamma radiation imaging with visible light video monitoring, accurately locating radioactive materials in real time. This innovation enhances radiation monitoring efficiency, reduces nuclear radiation risks, and addresses major technical challenges of traditional radiation monitoring equipment in China, such as low inspection efficiency and inability to precisely locate and track radiation sources. It offers significant economic and social benefits, providing strong technical support for national nuclear security.
