The forum released the "Top 10 Achievements in Nuclear Technology Applications," including the release of the "Medium and Long-Term Development Plan for Medical Isotopes (2021-2035)," the successful clinical application of the first domestically-produced medical heavy ion accelerator, and breakthroughs in dynamic panoramic PET-CT, static CT security systems, and industrial wastewater treatment with electron beam technology. Other highlights included the discovery of the new lunar mineral "Chang'e Stone" and the role of nuclear technology in major national projects.
Experts like Academicians Zhao Xianfeng and Zhan Wenlong and other leaders presented reports on the new era of nuclear technology applications, the current state and prospects of China's nuclear medical equipment, and the application of nuclear medicine in major disease diagnosis and treatment.
The Deputy Director of the China National Atomic Energy Agency, Dong Baotong, emphasized nuclear technology as a high-tech field with broad applications and promising prospects. It plays a crucial role in industrial, agricultural, medical, environmental, and safety applications, contributing to industry transformation and livelihood protection. The IAEA acknowledged the extensive scope of nuclear technology applications, comparable only to modern electronics and information technology.

Nuclear Security Products
The "Radioactive Material Imaging Positioning System" is an internationally leading nuclear radiation monitoring device. It addresses major technical challenges such as low inspection efficiency, inability to accurately locate and track radiation sources in real-time with traditional equipment. This system provides real-time automatic positioning, tracking, and remote, all-around visual monitoring, effectively monitoring the illegal carrying of radioactive materials at high-traffic ports.
This product has played a critical role in significant national projects such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, Beijing Daxing International Airport, Hengqin Port, and the West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station, as well as major national events like the 19th National Congress, the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics, the Hangzhou G20 Summit, and the Xiamen BRICS Summit.
As an innovative monitoring method, the system is also used in nuclear power, hospital radiation monitoring, military, and police nuclear biochemical anti-terrorism, and nuclear safety emergency response. It provides strong support for enhancing national nuclear counter-terrorism capabilities and safeguarding national security.
